I have been photographing actors for 30 years. I'm lucky that in that most of the top agents send their clients to me.

People talk a lot of artistic crap about what is a good photo, in fact it is very simple, it can be summed up in one sentence.

"A good photograph is you on a good day"

People ask if I have a makeup artist or a hair stylist - you don't need either.

Imagine you are out shopping, your mobile rings, its your agent. Spielberg wants to see you in an hour, for his new film. Your last photogrpaph is you after you've been to a makeup expert, and your very expensive hairdresser. You walk in, explaining to Speilberg, that it really is you, only now you've had a bad hair day.

I work in daylight, either in the local park, my garden or in a room looking into the garden. I have an office with a changing room, toilet and mirrors. The session last about 2 hours. Coffee is always available.
